Personal Mission Statement

I believe all student are capable of learning something. When one strategy does not reach them, I believe in trying each of them until we find one that works. I believe that all students should give and recieve respect and school should be a safe environment for the students. I believe in hands on, small group, individualized instruction, and fun learning. I believe in helping students acheiving their IEP goals and objectives. Most of all, I believe each day all students should start with a clean slate and be given another chance for success.

Student Comments

Since most of my student do not have access to after school Internet, and our parish would not open the blog site, my students all typed comments about the blog and activities relating to the technology class. I copied and pasted them onto the blog...

Are you still going to put the poems in a book for us?
Donald

Doing this was more fun than working.
DAngelo

As you can tell, my class had mixed reactions to the projects. Although my blog was based on the Poetry unit, we used concept maps, photostory, and some even did a podcast of their poems. I tried to upload pics of them working, but for some reason my blog would not except them. I know this is the last day for our blogs, but I will continue to upload to it and keep trying to put pics on it. I print the new posts for my students to take home to their parents. We include other things in the "class paper" and the parents seem to enjoy it. We are putting our poems into a photostory and it will be played at 5th grade's Honors Day Program!

Spring Break

Hope everyone is having a wonderful break. For thoes of you who have not been to my house yet, Krystal had her baby. She is planning on bringing her to see the class sometime next week. Remember during the holiday, you are supposed to finish your shape poem. We will definitely be posting our poems next week. I am excited about our poetry book! Presentations were great and now that the iLEAP is under our belt, it is time to have some real fun. Have a great rest of the week.
